Posted on November 13, 2018 by staginghistories

Staging Our Histories is excited to reveal the logo design for New Histories, Old Roots!

Meagan’s incredible beaded imagery and colour choices tell a unique story in each of her pieces, and she tends to depict local plants and flowers in her designs.  Meagan consulted with the co-directors to choose spring colours  for the New Histories, Old Roots logo and plantlife that represented  the 2019 theme of ‘home’ to each of them: cattail, marigold, marsh marigold, pink rose, forget-me-nots & lily-of-the-valley.

The co-directors chose the design with Meagan from multiple sketches, and she is considering returning to one of those initial drafts for a future project. Her first concept included favourite spring time wildflowers chosen by her family members and herself, and flowers that represented home and a welcoming feeling:  lily of the valley, sweet pea flowers, forget-me-not, buttercup and sweet grass.
